Vanessa Kray was born in 1994 as the daughter of an intercultural couple and grew up in and around Passau, Germany. Her passion for art started in her childhood. At the young age of two, she took her first photo.

Due to her family background, Vanessa’s interest in other cultures and countries formed naturally, so she wanted to pursue a career where she could combine her passion for art and her love of travel.

During her final year of school, Vanessa became intensely involved in photography and dedicated herself exclusively to her self-taught training as a photographer. During this time, she learned about different photography genres and worked as a wedding, portrait, and event photographer on the side.

Vanessa’s intensive photography studies and passion allowed her to teach photography in Munich from October 2020 to December 2021.

Due to the Coronavirus Pandemic and the restrictions that came with it, Vanessa devoted more time to her other passions, such as painting and writing.

Vanessa now sees herself as a multidisciplinary creative and is drawn to different art forms depending on the project and her mood. Her creative work reflects the human experience in all its facets.

In August 2024, Vanessa opened her first solo exhibition under the theme ‘PIECE OF ME’ at the Kulturmodell Passau, Germany.
